This top tier market leading Investment Bank is looking for a talented individual to join their high profile exotic credit and interest rates trader assistant team.
Directly supporting the trading and team this is a wide ranging and challenging role requiring you to display a high level of technical product knowledge and an ability to work directly with traders on issues such as PL, risk, positions as well as supporting on a range of Operational issues. This Middle to Front Office team acts as a conduit through which flows all trade information, discussion concerning new business requirements, management of the new trade type approvals process, discussions with finance, technology, legal tax to help coordinate business growth and requirements. This is a high profile team with one of the best reputations in the APAC region, and exposure to some of the most complex credit and rates products. There will be plenty of opportunities for career development for those that do well and who can create a strong impression across Front and Middle office.
To qualify, the individuals must possess:
- A minimum of 3+ years experience gained within an international Investment Banking environment
- Strong OTC Credit and Rates products exposure, ideally with exotic products, and a strong technical skill set and knowledge
- Excellent analytical skills and an ability to quickly develop an understanding of the infrastructure and end to end process
- Multi-tasking skills and an ability to adapt in a fast paced, dynamic and changing team environment is essential
- Confident and outgoing personality, able to deal directly with traders in a confident manner
- Good IT skills, ideally with an ability to utilise excel macros
- Strong problem solving skills, able to add value rather than just accept the status quo
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
