Macquarie seeks an experienced Analyst to join Macquarie Lending's New York, NY team. Macquarie Lending, part of the Macquarie Corporate Asset Finance Group, offers bridging and term lending facilities to large corporate clients and the acquisition of debt assets that are held to maturity. The Analyst position provides the opportunity to work as a principal investor in a flat team, evaluating potential investments across all industries and capital structures. Analysts are typically paired with a senior member of the team, enabling Analysts to gain a wide breadth of responsibility and the opportunity to significantly contribute to investment decisions. By virtue of the small deal team sizes, Analysts see and participate in all aspects of the investment process.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Fundamental company and industry research. This usually includes speaking with management teams, industry experts and in-house Macquarie resources
- Financial analysis to understand projected performance and valuations under a range of scenarios
- Legal analysis of credit agreements and debt indentures to optimize our point of investment in the capital structure
- Liaising with financial and legal advisors in structuring deals
- And most importantly, contributing to investment decisions with our senior team
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years experience in investment banking, credit investing, or private equity. Some exposure to leveraged finance preferred.
- Bachelor's degree, and an excellent academic background
- Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills
- Hard-working, can-do attitude and the desire to succeed in a entrepreneurial, fast-paced and team-oriented environment
- Strong passion for learning
