Experienced C++ Developer for a Global FX Trading Team recruitment

 A highly reputable Investment bank is looking to hire a C++ developer to work on the global infrastructure for FX Algorithmic Trading.

This group is responsible for the research of new ways to execute trading strategies with the improvement of performance in mind.

They do this in many ways - more commonly: the prevention of bottlenecks, the re-writing of code to make it more concise and the development of new frameworks which analytics can use in order to improve efficiency and increase productivity.

The work is centred on real-time and low latency programming. Developers are expected to come from a background where they have demonstrated a sincere fundamental understanding of computer science. You would see yourself more as a computer scientist, rather than an “application developer”.

To be considered for this role you must have the following background:

 - A MEng or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics. In your first degree you must have received a minimum of 2:1.

 - Due to the amount of trades that are processed on this system,  you must be able to demonstrate on your CV 3-5 years in software development teams where you are handling large amounts of data, i.e. sports betting industry.

 - A very strong understanding of the fundamentals of computing. You can describe exactly what happens from the moment your code is executed till the end result.
