Experienced Commodity Proprietary Trader required – Leading Prop Trading Firm – Up to £140k + 20% PnL recruitment

Montash Associates is working exclusively with a leading, Chicago based proprietary trading house, and are looking to source an experienced Commodity Prop Trader to join their market leading team.

This individual is going to be responsible for establishing, running and building up a European Grains and Softs (rapeseed, coffee, cocoa, sugar) trading desk. Extensive experience and proven PnL generation capabilities within these areas is essential. There is a strong preference for individuals with a proprietary trading background, but market making candidates will also be considered.

You will be working as part of a collaborative, research driven group, based both in the UK and US. You will be the first individual coming in and trading Grains and Softs in Europe, so there is excellent career potential to build a team over time, as well as learn about other trading areas.

The organisation is a well-established, well capitalised proprietary trading house headquartered in Chicago. They have traders operating in London, Asia and the US, and have an excellent pedigree. They have traders from a number of leading organisations, and a transparent and open managerial team. They trade across a number of difference asset classes, both on a systematic and discretionary basis.

To summarise, the core requirements for this role are:

• 3+ years experience in Commodities Trading. In depth knowledge of grains and softs knowledge is essential

• Proven, positive PnL track record

• Strong mathematical skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Permission to live and work in the UK

In return for this, the package on offer is exceptional. There will be a strong base salary, that will be determined by the specific candidates skills. It is flexible,   and will be up to £150k. There will also be a strong percentage of the PnL generated paid on top of this.
