Catalyst is an independent, specialist Operations and Technology consultancy that works with many of the top financial markets organisations in the City. We are continuing a significant growth programme initiated after our recent MBO and are looking for a couple of senior technology specialists with a career within capital markets and an indepth knowledge of applications and architecture to help grow our Technology Practice.

The Role: To provide key skills and capability within the technology practice and contribute to the overall growth and development of the practice
- Work with/as a part of the Technology Practice management team to identify, build and document opportunities
- Provide clients with detailed subject matter expertise and advice on the application of Technology in Capital Markets
- Build pitch and offerings materials to support cross selling and sales and marketing activities
- Create high quality material for use in client presentations and RFP responses
- Contribute to the production of website and social media content in the form of blogs, white papers and case studies
- Provide leadership, direction and oversight for assignment teams
- Be responsible to the client on a day-to-day basis for assignment health progress against deliverables
You should also expect to:
- Build close, collaborative sponsor and client relationships, spotting and developing opportunities where Catalyst can provide input and potential value to client issues
- Identify technology trends in the market and evidence them though discussions and networking opportunities
- Assist in the management and development of more junior colleagues as well as identifying possible candidates for employment by the company
- Be able to comment on developments in capital markets technology from a number of different perspectives
Skills:
- A recognised science based degree
- A minimum of 10 years technology consulting experience
- Business analysis skills including requirements definition, to-be model design, process engineering and business case development
- Detailed technical knowledge of enterprise architecture, common platforms, components and design principals
- Detailed understanding of common topics such as latency, scale, resilience, services, data structures and messaging
- Strong programme management skills, including commonly used frameworks, practices, approaches for both agile and waterfall based implementations
- Exposure to target operating model design and development
- Liaison and communication skills – managing senior stakeholders consultatively, effectively and efficiently
- Extensive, contemporary experience within the Capital Markets Technology arena with a breadth of financial product exposure, such as FI, Equities and Derivatives (IRS, CDS etc)
