Client:
This is an opportunity for a talented C++ developer to take the next step in his or her career at a top tier high frequency trading and market making firm. To be eligible to apply, you will have spent the last 3 years (uninterrupted) of your career working as a developer for a high frequency trading platform.
The client has a state of the art infrastructure that sets the standard for all major players in the industry and they require candidates with a superb track record of programming for the full life cycle of the trade. Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and back testing fully automated algorithms for trading strategies across multiple asset classes.
- Design internal systems where necessary in relation to strategy execution and risk management.
- Focus on high frequency, risk averse market making, arbitrage and spread strategies.
- Augmenting, improving, redesigning, and/or re-implementing the internal scripting tools that support our global quantitative trading systems.
- Working closely with quantitative traders to develop analytics, identify trading issues, analyze data sets, and troubleshoot trading issues.
- Monitoring, supporting, and de-bugging the complex applications that support trading operations.
- Creating optimal, highly speed-sensitive, and scalable code that will process large amounts of data.
- Writing tools to analyze data for patterns.
Experience and Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL
- Minimum of 3 years of high level, multithreaded, high performance C++ programming in the fincancial sector (candidates with less than 3 consecutive, uninterrupted years will not be considered).
- Exceptional abilities in C++ front office programming (no back or middle office applicants will be considered or contacted).
BONUS
- A PhD/ MPhil in (but not limited to) any of the following and their related fields: Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, etc.
- Experience in the Equities space.
- Experience in full life cycle development.
- Experts in Multicore/Mltithreaded Lock-free/Wait-free algorithms and data structures.
