Experienced IT Operations Manager to take the run-the-bank practices within Securities IT to the next level recruitment

In your role you will be responsible for creating a platform for a resilient IT environment across all areas within Securities. Working closely with the various development- and support teams as well as the infrastructure organisations, you will drive harmonisation of tools and processes and set standards for how to manage incidents and everything that comes with it.

You will be setting and enforcing standards for how the ITIL framework is being used within Securities, especially around incident-, problem- and capacity management. In these areas we expect you to be able to lead by example to make sure the organisation follows.

Since this is a newly formed position, you will report directly to the BCIO of Securities IT and be part of the Securities IT Management Team.

Ultimately you will be measured on system stability parameters such as system uptime, incident frequency and severity, and proactive measures.

Providing resilient and scalable IT platforms, enabling business growth

The environment that our business partners operate in is extremely time critical, and they rely on us to be able to manage high volumes and values in a market where mili- and microseconds make the difference. As an IT organisation we embrace this challenge and show ownership, proactivity and responsiveness.

Ability to convert processes to tangible results, combined with discipline to drive all open ends to closure

We expect you to have at least 5 years previous hands-on experience from ITIL processes in a banking environment, most critically in the areas of Incident Management and Problem Management. You should also be comfortable managing major incidents with large numbers of stakeholders and participants and leading by example in these disciplines. This means that you must be able to excel under pressure, remaining calm and thinking constructively in situations of high stress.

You should have experience from system monitoring using some of the industry best practice tools, such as ITRS Geneos, Nagios, Tivoli, Velocimetrics or similar.

Managerial experience is a very strong advantage. The role does not include staff management initially, but our expectation is that your deliveries will require a small team to run the day-to-day processes.

Since the role requires that you interact on a daily basis with a multitude of other organisational units both inside IT Capital Markets and in other areas of Nordea, you have to be able to establish good relations with your peers, as well as to build and maintain a very extensive network.

Like us, you strive to maintain a positive working environment.

Background and experience from project- or programme management is an advantage.
