Company
King of Cakes has been established for over 20 years and has an excellent reputation. They specialise in creating authentic German and European cakes, pastries and freshly baked breads. The passionate and experienced Owner/Master Chef Wolfgang has grown the business, with 2 King of Cake shops across Brisbane.
The King himself is now seeking a Pastry Chef/ Cake Decorator with flair to join his team.
Role
This full-time role is located 15 minutes from Brisbane CBD and reports to the Production Manager. It leads a small team of pastry chefs and apprentices.
The role is predominately responsible for the following:
- Production of all cakes and slices which includes baking, building, decorating
- Packing of the orders on a daily basis
- Monitoring that a hygienic workplace is maintained
- Training of apprentices
The role will require work between Monday and Friday with the occasional Saturday also a possibility.
Candidate
The successful candidate will be a qualified, highly skilled, creative and passionate Pastry Chef/Cake Decorator. You will be capable of producing cakes, slices and special occasion cakes in a high volume environment under strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
You will also demonstrate the following capabilities:
- Solid communication skills
- Ability to lead and be part of a team
- High level of attention to detail
- Organised and able to work effectively under pressure
Salary
Remuneration is negotiable and will be based on the experience and capability of the successful candidate.
