Open Pit Mining Experience Essential
Working with one of the world's largest gold producers, a new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mine/Production Superintendent to take the reins of this exciting new project.
Working on an 8/6 roster you will be based in Kalgoorlie on a FIFO basis from Perth. As the project is still in development, the initial stage of your employment will be Perth based with the role moving onto site once production commences.
Reporting to the mine manager you will be in charge of supervising the entire operation with a strong focus on contractor liaison and management. An essential emphasis on safety and training is a crucial element of the position, as is substantial previous supervisory experience, planning and operation, and a thorough understanding of statutory and legislative requirements.
Your extensive open pit mining experience will ensure that you can comfortably manage large crews, train on all forms of equipment, work alongside a production mill to ensure targets and expectations are being met, and have the ability to work in a large scale production from the very beginning.
