Position Description
Web Developer
* 5+ years of professional experience with HTML/XHTML, CSS, object-oriented JavaScript
* Hands on experience with enterprise level systems and open-source technologies; fluency in the LAMP stack
* Demonstrated experience and solid understanding of mobile applications, cross-platform product development, API and application integration with external systems (e.g. social media)
* Great problem solving skills, excellent design and coding skills, the eagerness to learn new technologies and a proven track record as a strong developer
* Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
* Experience with JQuery and (ideally) Node.js; knowledge of one or more Node.js frameworks
* Comfort with CSS, including CSS3 and LESS
* Experience with AJAX/JSON driven applications
* Conversance in HTML/W3C standards and cross-browser compatibility
* Experience developing websites for smartphones (iPhone, Android)
PLUSES
* Experience with MongoDB and/or other noSQL platforms
* Experience developing for CMS systems (e.g., Drupal, WordPress, etc.)
* Experience with GIT on a large scale project
* Experience with emerging HTML5 standards (video, local storage)
* Experience developing for social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube)
* Excited about emerging web technologies
