Expert Infrastructure Engineer - Workplace

We need a highly experienced, Microsoft and ITIL certified engineer with a can-do attitude to be part of team building and innovating our globally standardised IT workplace.

The opportunity

You'll deliver a cost-effective standardised IT Workplace including functionality, integration and documentation consistent with global standards.
Key tasks will include providing solutions for all workplace integrated devices, applications and delivering the virtual IT workplace, as well as defining and supporting the medium to long-term lifecycle management strategy for all workplace related assets.
You'll also drive strategic sourcing activities for Workplace Services, monitor and evaluate workplace opportunities, lead projects, coordinate and partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders and foster communication and teamwork.

About you

Your degree is in engineering or computer science or equivalent and you're ITIL and preferably Microsoft (MCP, MCITP, MCCSE) certified. You've at least five years experience of IT service delivery, including managing and supporting the lifecycle of desktop, laptop, mobile devices and applications and specific knowledge of Microsoft's System Center Suite, Windows 7 and general scripting and programming knowledge (VBS, CMD, PowerShell, .NET). You've a good understanding of software certification and packaging tools, a solid grasp of virtualised/cloud environments and a strong architectural and technical background for an integrated workplace. You also understand ITIL problem and incident management processes and the administration and configuration of an enterprise Windows environment spanning thousands of devices and multiple locations. You have a track record in project, change and release management, engineering and achieving specific goals. You have a good written and oral command of German and English.
