THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Exploitation Engineer will be a member of our Heavy Oil South team and contribute in the following ways:

  •  Participate in the production of gas or oil pools under primary, secondary (waterflood) and EOR (polymer) recovery methods within their geographic area of responsibility

  •  Optimize and expand our production targets as well as recommend and implement new recovery methods

    HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK?

  •  Monitor and optimize the depletion strategies of the Company's new and existing pools

  •  Evaluate potential acquisitions and present recommended acquisition value to management

  •  Provide engineering support and work with the area exploration team to develop existing and future company assets

  •  Provide recommendations on the completions and re-completion of new and existing wells, as well as liaise with the production team to recommend production facilities

  •  Calculate, maintain and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the corporate reserves

  •  Conduct reservoir studies and analysis on new and emerging exploration prospects

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Typically 5+ years of related Oil and Gas Exploitation industry experience with an Engineering Degree

  •  Familiarity with and understanding of:
       o Economic evaluation, reservoir experience and some exposure to operations.
       o Working in a multi-disciplinary team
