External Reporting Accountant

My client, a top tier banking institution, is seeking to recruit an External Reporting Manager to support its wider Group regulatory accounting policy and external reporting requirements. Engaged on a permanent basis you will be responsible for preparing periodic submissions primarily, but not limited to, the PRA, BoE and EBA, and assist in driving forward the implementation of new reporting and process improvement requirements going forward.

Key accountabilities:

• Maintaining compliance with regulatory demands and improving the quality of returns as well as information communicated to internal and external stakeholders
• Preparation and review of monthly and quarterly COREP and PRA returns and ownership of consolidated regulatory reporting initiatives for Group Accounts
• Provision of quality information on capital resources and RWA to the wider Group regulatory policy and accounting division
• Actively participating in the implementation of new regulatory reporting requirements and upgrades to new systems as necessary
• Continually reassess operational risk elements prevalent across the business and delivering the enhanced treatment of products and transactions
• Challenging and reviewing data from wider Global Finance, Credit and Capital and ALM divisions

This role would suit a newly or recently ACA qualified accountant (or equivalent) with a strong academic background and proven track record in practice, looking to move into the fast-paced environment of regulatory reporting.
