Finance Operations Supervisor
A fantastic job opportunity has arisen in a fast-paced and rapidly-growing company based in Edinburgh City Centre, this job is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant from a Financial Services background to cement their career in a forward-looking organisation.
The role has come about due to fast growth of the business, and additional workload internally due to a restructuring of the business. You'll be reporting directly to the Head of Finance Operations, and your primary responsibilities will include the overall development of income accounting, including month end review of the accounting journals, review and challenge of existing models for income, substantiation of income and assisting with External audit of the balance sheets for the company. You'll also be working with various internal operating units including Decision Support and Regulatory Reporting.
You should be a part-qualified or recently qualified accountant, though individuals with fewer professional qualifications will be considered provided significant relevant experience from Financial Services. You should be comfortable managing a small team, and should have has exposure to month end reporting inside a finance team. You'll be required to prepare month-end accounting journals, and you'll need excelled Excel skills. Prior experience working within a controls environment would be beneficial, and you should also be comfortable with preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations.
