External Reporting & Balance Sheet Controller
Top tier Investment Bank are currently recruiting for a VP to work in External reporting, Balance sheet/RWA. This�role is an extension of the product controller role. The External Reporting Controller is responsible from the timely and accurate regulatory submissions of the Line of Business. He/she is also responsible for monitoring balance sheet, capital, RWA and advises on deal specific accounting and or RWA usage.
This is a broad role with good exposure to the wider business division. Duties will include:
- Collecting external disclosures from regional product controllers, consolidating data, performing consistency checks.
- Oversee and be accountable for the quality of regulatory reporting disclosures of the business.
- Interact with product controller teams across the various locations and jurisdictions.
- Provide guidance on accounting for products, liaising wit accounting policy.
- Provide analytical support for optimizing balance sheet and capital usage.
- Enhance RWA reporting to provide greater transparency to the business.
Candidates will have the following skills/experience:
- Good understanding of accounting, financial statements, product and risk.
- Capacity to summarise complex information and deliver it at a business and executive level.
- Good presentation skills.
- A qualified accountant
