Exutive Investment Director – Global Private Equity Fund recruitment
Our client, a global conglomerate has a PE fund whereby they have allocated some substantial capital towards the Greater China market. This capital has been secured and needs to be deployed over the next few years due to the funding coming from the consumer business that they own. This means that there is always a healthy inflow of capital into the fund.
With all this secured capital, my client is looking for an experienced and seasoned professional to take the role of management and of sourcing and closing of deals within the region. The set up consists of 5 investment professionals in Shanghai, who they will need to manage. This person will report to the Head of Asia, the MD of Asia and one day will be expected to take on the role of MD.
As somebody well connected within the industry and the market place, you will be expected to decide on the best deals within the market, sourced by the incumbent and the members of the team.
Strategic high level deals will also need to be discussed with higher management globally but ultimately all deals will be sourced and decided by you and your team thus the incumbent will holds complete responsibility for the deals in the region.
My client invites candidates who have done deals within the consumer sector as well as other comparable experience gained from other sectors in and around China. The personality of this person should be charming, able to connect well with entrepreneurs and understand the local market. You will inherit a very qualified gifted academic team and work with other colleagues from the cream of the crop educational backgrounds. Ideally the incumbent should be local Chinese, speak fluent English and Chinese, possess an MBA, pHD from a top school.
