We are seeking a well-rounded Facilities and Maintenance Manager for our diverse, fast-paced operation.  You will be responsible for equipment maintenance and repair and facilities maintenance and management to support our fast paced, growing operation.  Additional responsibilities include:

·                  Ensures that safe practices and procedures are consistently followed by all personnel and that all work areas are maintained in a safe, clean and orderly manner.  Support the safety program through coordination with the EHS Coordinator and manufacturing.

·                  Manage the equipment repair and maintenance function. 

·                  Utilize CMMS and other tools to coordinate an effective preventative maintenance program based on data to reduce/eliminate the sources of equipment downtime caused by defective parts or adverse environmental conditions.

·                  Manages the facility maintenance function.

·                  Participates in the identification of facility capital expansion or new facility sites.  Manages construction and renovation of facilities.

·                  Develops documented recommendations based on data to reduce/eliminate the sources of waste.

·                  Monitor, approve and track all utility usage to determine capacity and fluctuations in consumption. Work closely with utility companies to assure no interruption of services.

·                  Initiate, coordinate, monitor and approve invoicing of capital projects completing them on time and within budget

·                  Manage, coordinate, review and approve invoicing of multiple long and short term contracts related to facilities or equipment maintenance.

·                  Coordinate activities of multiple outside contractors to supplement in house facilities maintenance and equipment repair activities.

·                  Maintains close contact and works cooperatively with other departments on production operation issues.

·                  Assists Manufacturing Director in the development, implementation and monitoring of cGMP/ISO or other regulatory practices in the organization.

·                  Provides support to Manufacturing Engineering to optimize new product processes and facilities requirements.

·                  Develop Quality System Procedures and work instructions as required.

·                  Ensure that land and buildings are maintained to enhance the corporate image.

·                  Responsible for procedures and controls in tool crib room and all inventory, including spare parts.

·                  Coordinate with outside architects for various site work and projects that require their services.

·                  Coordinate and maintain all required permits.

 

 

To qualify, you must have a bachelors degree in Engineering or another technical field.  A minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in facilities and maintenance required;  3 – 5 years experience in manufacturing required.  Experience with preventative maintenance program management required.  Professional Engineering License desirable.  The successful candidate will be able to work in a cross-functional team environment and be adaptable and flexible to develop consensus solutions.  Strong leadership and project management skills required.  Experience managing multiple vendors required.
