- Through subordinate supervisors, plans, organizes, and schedulesthe work of various craft workers, such as HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) repair workers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and painters.
- Directs facility repairs and installations, small construction remodeling and maintenance projects.
- Ensures that company facilities comply with state, federal and local laws, ordinances, regulations, and codes pertaining to the building industry.
- Supervises emergency repair jobs; inspects field work performed; plans and estimates maintenance and repair work.
- Assists the Facilities Manager in preparing and administering the division budget; monitors budget accounts and expenditures.
- Analyzes and investigates maintenance problems or issues, and prepares and compiles written reports to the Facilities Manager with solutions and/or recommendations.
- Identifies and resolves safety hazards for staff and follows all safety procedures.
- Acts as the Facilities Manager in his/her absence.
- Established project priorities, manages expectations of customers and service providers.
- Ensure that purchasing procedures and policies are followed.
- Initiate purchase orders; issue access security and company identification badges, desk keys.
- Track work orders; process and maintain security badge requests.
- Prepare for and assist with special events for use of facilities
- Coordinate projects with Facilities Management and outside service providers.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with staff members and outside service providers.
- Maintain the security of all department buildings and facilities, including opening and closing of all facilities and the locking and closing of doors and windows.
- High school diploma or G.E.D required; Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years directly related experience.
- Must have previous supervisory experience.
- Good communication, leadership, and management skills required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to use basic tools, such as a Hammer, Screw Driver or Wrenches.
- Must be able to perform minor repairs on lights, toilets, Furniture and other small equipment.
