Position Profile:
 
General Responsibilities: The primary function of the Fall Protection Sales Specialist (FPS) is to ensure that assigned TSM’s meet or exceed sales forecasts for Fall protection products within their assigned Sales Territories. It is the responsibility of the FPS to assist each TSM so that they possess enough knowledge, skills and tools to professionally represent the entire Miller / North by Honeywell brands Fall Protection Line to distributors and end-users. FPS’s will also perform the primary function of monitoring product performance and competitive responses to their respective Business Operations. Specific Responsibilities - The functions of this role will include: • Primary Communication intermediary between ISG Sales Force and respective Product Management, Brand Management, Engineering and Manufacturing Personnel. TSM’s shall point all technical product questions through their designated FPS. The FPS shall utilize the corporate resources for closure. • Attend sales calls with major end-users with and without distributors. • Attend Local Shows, Major Training Events and Major Sales Opportunities on behalf of Miller / North by Honeywell Fall Protection. • Identify market sales opportunities and develop sales plans designed to maximize Honeywell Safety Products exposure within these opportunities. • The FPS will stay abreast of, and communicate all external regulations that effect the applications of and uses of said products. • Will document major wins/losses with recommendations for improvements and continually communicate to their Fall Protection Specialist Manager. • Create and Develop ongoing educational opportunities and practices with their assigned TSM’s. • Will continually communicate ISG Sales Force progress, wins, losses and gaps to their Regional Sales Manager. • Monitor and analyze sales and sales trends of Fall Protection products within the territory by product, by customer and by TSM.
 

Position Climate: Fast paced, rapidly changing environment where the ability to think and respond quickly and creatively are essential. Must understand the scope of Fall Protection products, business operations and distribution systems. Proven ability to lead and work within a team atmosphere. Strong organization, conceptual, analytical, financial and communication skill sets. Position requires significant travel at least 50% of the time.

Basic Qualifications: • Min 5 years of sales/marketing experience• Valid driver license and passport. Additional qualifications: • Third party distribution experience in manufacturing field preferred; • Min 2 years experience with Fall Protection products;
• Distribution field experience acceptable; • Must understand the scope of Fall Protection products, business operations and distribution systems; • Proven ability to lead and work within a team atmosphere; • Strong organization, conceptual, analytical, financial and communication skill sets.
• BS/BA in a sales/marketing field or other suitable education
