LifeWorks is a dynamic, not-for-profit organisation specialising in human relations and interpersonal communication. We provide therapeutic and relationship counselling, family dispute resolution, education and training services to individuals, couples, families and workplaces.
Family Counsellor: Reporting to the Branch Manager, this senior practitioner role will undertake intake and assessment interviews and offer counselling and therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples and families seeking assistance with their relationships. Counselling occurs as primary prevention and within provisions of the Family Law Act 1975. Capacity to deliver psycho-educational and relationship programs and ability to provide services within LifeWorks Employee Assistance Program will be highly regarded. Given the senior nature of the role, strong capacity to network within the local area and contribute to day-to-day operations of the location is expected.
Qualifications: In either psychology, behavioural or social science or equivalent, or post-graduate qualifications in couple counselling and/or family therapy, along with demonstrated experience are essential.
