FCP/KYC Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position of FCP/KYC Analyst- Funds Specialist has specific responsibility for conducting AML/KYC and will undertake various responsibilities relating to the identification and verification of potential clients in order to uncover and manage any associated AML risks, as follows:

• Conducting due diligence on prospective clients to meet Newedge UK Financial UK Limited (“NEUKFL”) FCP/AML Regulations in compliance with FSA regulations.
• Undertaking renewal due diligence on existing clients to ensure identification of changes in risk profile.
• Conducting due diligence on prospective Vendors.
• Conducting due diligence in relation to Capital Introductions of Funds and Asset Managers.
• Ad hoc support to the KYC Manager in relation to FCP projects and investigations.
• Ensuring the maintenance/updating of appropriate departmental records/databases.
• The identification and upward reporting of any key FCP risks identified.
• Ad-hoc support for the Head of FCP (Europe/Middle East) and FCP function in the Zone.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of KYC/AML regulations and know your customer rules.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge on products and financial services.
• Assisting with the provision of induction and refresher training as requested/directed by the Head of Compliance FCP UK and EMEA.

SUPERVISION DUTIES:
• Management and Supervision of the KYC Team in the absence of the KYC Manager. 
• Establish an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adheres to the policies and guidelines of the Company.
• Provide leadership, direction, advice and guidance to the team, thus maintaining high levels of integrity, motivation and morale.
• Initiate actions to further improve your own and the team’s skills and performance.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
• Familiar with the regulatory requirements of FSA, MiFID and the JMLSG.
• Independent, self-motivated, proactive, analytical and willing to work under pressure and with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
