Field Recruiter
Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY/ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT:
Responsible for recruitment, screening, and selection of candidates, development and implementation of staffing and recruitment plans/ programs to source candidates, development of business relationships with potential candidate sources, assessing effectiveness of recruitment activities, ensuring compliance with legal requirement, and implementing a variety of recruiting programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop staffing and recruiting strategies, ensuring alignment with the company's business plan.
2. Develop a network of strategic business relationships with colleges, chambers of commerce, temporary agencies, and other candidate sources; promote Dollar Thrifty as an employer of choice and develop concepts for promotional materials for various recruiting activities.
3. Prepare job postings for open positions, oversee internal job postings and place external recruitment ads for open positions; advise management in the optimal usage of temporary employment resources.
4. Review, sort and screen applications and resumes, conduct candidate screening interviews and reference checks, and provide hiring managers with best qualified candidates.
5. Establish selection panel process or one-on-one interviews, schedule meetings and activities, and make candidate travel arrangements as required.
6. Communicate employment offers to selected candidates and negotiate counter offers when required.
7. Oversee recruitment and hiring processes to ensure adherence to EEO and OFCCP guidelines and other government compliance requirements and ensure AAP logs are maintained.
8. Schedule and conduct training for hiring managers to guide them through the interview and hiring process; develop interview guides and coach on interviewing skills.
9. Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and Skill
* Basic knowledge of recruiting and human resources practices and procedures.
* Ability to recruit and evaluate applicants for both non-exempt and exempt positions using independent judgment and discretion.
* Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and respond with appropriate discretion.
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
* Excellent negotiation skills.
* Skill and proficiency in the use of computer software packages including, spreadsheet, word processing and other related programs.
* Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and assignments.
SPECIAL JOB DIMENSIONS:
** Up to 40 travel within region.
