Position Summary
This position has primary responsibility for overall territory sales and customer satisfaction.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
1.    Promote H. D. Smith as a supplier of Rx, OTC, and HHC/DME lines calling on both current and prospective customers who can be supplied by company trucks, courier, or UPS.
2.    Time management and territory analysis/development of territory plan. Achieve or exceed budgetary responsibilities within your territory.
3.    Support any products, programs, promotions, and services.
4.    Prospecting of potential customers. Customer relations and gathering industry information.
5.    Maintain Information Technology knowledge and the ability to train customers.
6.    Provide the appropriate forms and complete all paperwork on all new customers and or programs sold within your assigned territory.
7.    Maintain and secure all company property such as company vehicles, computers, printers, business files, selling binders, credit cards and any other assigned materials. Notify management of any breakdown, damage, loss or theft of these items immediately.
8.    Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications Needed
Four-year degree preferred or equivalent sales experience in selling services within the pharmaceutical industry.
Have a good understanding of pharmacy operations including financial, third party, product distribution and other industry knowledge within the independent pharmacy environment.
Candidate must possess excellent presentation skills, the ability to prospect for new business and be able to close new business opportunities on a consistent basis.
Candidate must have the skill set to have constructive conversations regarding overall customer performance and be able to manage those compliance measurements on a consistent basis.
Candidate must have excellent computer skills and a working knowledge of Windows including Excel, Word and PowerPoint software applications as well as Microsofts Outlook e-mail application.
A valid drivers license and an excellent driving record are required.
Candidate must be able to travel on a daily basis throughout his/her territory as well as anticipate some overnight travel within such territory.
