Manager - Enterprise M2M Vertical Solutions Management

Responsibilities The Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing M2M solutions and business activities across Energy and Utilities verticals to position VzW as M2M market leader. bull; For Verticals responsible, develop, maintain, and manage a funnel of module, device, and solution opportunities as well as portfolio of existing certified modules and devices. bull; Ensure portfolio of capable modules for vertical identified needs (combination of speed, global compatibility, form factor, and hardened capabilities). bull; For Verticals responsible, build module/device/solution roadmap for 2G, 3G, 4GLTE, and wireline networks. bull; Engage with internal teams (including Device Marketing and Technology Planning) to coordinate efforts with module OEM's. bull; Assess VzW competitive position in the M2M market and device landscape and identify critical gaps (including price). bull; Push ecosystems to close price gap vs. GSM for modules; where appropriate drive analysis of cost to VzW to drive low cost modules and drive internal decision making process. bull; Work with Vodafone to align our approach for modules (and potential devices) to support global customers. bull; Manage communication with internal organization to integrate customer feedback into VzW vertical solutions strategy. bull; Manage alignment with VzW vertical teams to drive certification of vertical specific devices to support VzW sales teams. bull; Work with EDSM team and VzW Vertical Strategy teams to identify key devices required for vertical markets and customers and applications. bull; Support EDSM team engagements, as appropriate/feasible. bull; Support OD Executive presentations that cover devices, module, and solutions development. bull; Lead Operation Review (OR) presentations and Status Updates to Sr. Management. bull;Work with M2M Product, Device Marketing, Technology Planning, and other groups to drive ongoing enhancements to the VzW process for certification of both devices and modules; leverage external device and module OEM feedback. Qualifications bull;5+ years cellular experience required bull;5+ years relevant experience in device development or wireless oriented business development bull;5+ years Energy/Utilities experience required bull;Working knowledge of module and/or wireless device ecosystem bull;Working knowledge of wireless carrier certification bull;Experience leading cross-functional teams bull;Experience evaluating potential partners for strategic fit bull;Working knowledge of machine-to-machine market bull;Project management experience bull;Ability to present ideas effectively to individuals or groups and express ideas and information clearly bull;Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with expertise in quantitative/qualitative process analysis techniques bull;Ability to develop presentations for executive or project management teams both internally and externally. bull;Strong project management skills bull;Excellent time management - Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and excel in a fast paced environment bull;Education: Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience, MBA or Masters preferred We are an equal opportunity employer m/f/d/v.
