Field Service Tech Job in Maumee 43528, Ohio US
This job involves field test installations and requires up to 70% travel within 4 hours of Maumee, OH. Some travel will be overnight
Primary function: To provide a support function for the Engineering group as a resource to test developing and current products in extreme conditions in order for our customers to receive the highest quality products.
Essential functions:
- Conduct endurance testing of fluid conveyance products to evaluate the product quality for various applications
- Interprets and follows written and verbal instructions from engineers, written engineering specifications and Industry standards for testing
- Collect performance data during the test process and compile that information in an Engineering Test Report that is submitted to the requesting customer to review and draw conclusions.
- Report to customers on test status and progress
- Follow approved and accepted laboratory test practices.
- Assemble test fixtures in order to perform endurance testing of fluid conveyance products
- Perform needed repairs and adjustments to test apparatus to assure maximum test run time and minimum down time
- Compliance with established health, safety and environmental practices to insure a safe work place.
Qualified candidates will have:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Working knowledge of fluid power concepts
- Ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments
- Basic PC skills
- Acute work ethic
