Overview:
Agfa Corporation currently has an opening for 4 Field Service Technician Interns in the following Regions:
Atlanta , GA ~ NY/NJ ~ Portland , OR Columbus, OH
Learn how to install and repair of Agfa products, to include safety verification of electrical and environmental factors at customer site, testing of product to ensure functional operation, verification of operating performance with customer, and review of the basic operational functions with the customer to meet our training obligation at installation.
This is an Unpaid Intership:
Pay/Hours: 15-24 hours per week required
College Credit
Responsibilities:
Will receive training on the following:
- How to provide hardware and software maintenance of Agfa products and / or associated peripheral equipment
- How to install and repair equipment
- Performance of preventive maintenance and repair functions at customer sites and equipment,
- How to document service calls, expenses and time reports on a daily basis and submit to office on a weekly basis according to established procedures;
- How to efficiently order and return repairable spare parts components.
- How to ensure the service ready condition of service aids, tools and diagnostic equipment.
- On the job Safety policies.
- How to deal with Customers in difficult situations
Qualifications:
- Ability to travel with Agfa service tech in the field for 2 or 3 days a week.
- In school to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics technology, engineering or equivalent education (Ideally a Junior or Senior)
- Interest in printing and digital printing industry
- Must be able to communicate effectively using good customer relations and selling skills.

- Ability to read schematics
- Understanding of electro-mechanics
- Understanding of pneumatics
- Understand the basics of remote diagnostics
