Our client, a "Leader" in the manufacturing and sales of Process Capital Equipment used in the Meat, Bakery and Food Processing  Industry, seeks a Field Service Manager to be located in Kansas City, MO.

Essential Functions 

1. Determine schedules, sequences and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel.
2. Continuously improve customer satisfaction through programs to reduce delinquencies, provide for on-time delivery, and meet customer quality and cost expectations. Actively seek customer interfaces to communicate and facilitate customer needs within the organization.
3. Monitor employee’s work levels and review work performance.
4. Monitor tool and parts inventories.
5. Work with operations and engineering analyze information to determine needed installations, services or repairs.
6. Work closely with customers in various locations to maximize resources including manpower, equipment and material.
7. Manage department costs to ensure profitability.
8. Provide timely documentation of critical concerns such as change orders, inspection reports etc.
9. Work to find root cause of all service issues and make sure engineering change requests are created to prevent future issues.
10. Responsible for maintaining even tech deployment schedule across all product lines.
11. Responsible for keeping warranty below budget.
12. Working with After-Market parts manager and Engineering manager to develop spare parts kits.
13. TCO calculations and communications with the customer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
 Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
 Demonstrated knowledge of PLC operations and Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi control systems
 A demonstrated ability to perform professionally under less than optimum conditions.
 The ability to communicate in a professional manner with customers, OEM representatives and others both within and outside of the company.
 Production and processing knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
 Effectively and consistently apply skills to include, yet not limited to: critical thinking, time management, active listening, instructing, decision making, quality control analysis, coordination, management of personnel resources, written and verbal comprehension and problem solving
 All work is to be performed in a manner that demonstrates consistent application of attributes to include, yet are not limited to: dependability, integrity, leadership, self-control, cooperation, stress tolerance, persistence, adaptability, flexibility, independence and initiative
