Description of Work:
Senior Supply Chain Analyst

Position Summary:
The Senior Supply Chain Analyst within the Global Supply Chain Planning Organization will play a pivotal role in supporting the company's cash-flow optimization initiative as well as other end-to-end supply chain efficiency and effectiveness improvements.

Essential Functions:
Work under the guidance of Director, Supply Chain in defining various end-to-end supply chain inventory optimization opportunities, analyzing total-company costs/benefits, soliciting approvals, and coordinating execution supporting company cash-flow and customer service objectives. Success will require extensive cross-functional collaboration with finance, manufacturing/supplier operations, transportation/distribution, local country management, as well as fellow supply chain planning personnel globally.
Manage the development, population, and maintenance of a data repository(s) supporting progress monitoring on multiple concurrently running initiatives, as well as publication and/or presentation of performance results. Facilitating meetings in the business area to review business processes and identify information system requirements and/or needs.
Making appropriate recommendations for continuing, modifying, or abandoning proposed projects and/or systems based on the results of feasibility studies and/or cost/benefit analyses.
The Analyst will also perform other supply chain project related work and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Provides project management support as a leader or member of a project team:
Develops project plans, work breakdown structures and task dependencies, communication plans, etc., according to the development methodologies.
Manages project activities and motivates members of the project team.
Provides updates and thorough communication to the project team, information systems and the impacted business areas.

Provides coaching and training support:
Maintains proficiency in the tool sets used within the supported business areas.
Supports the business areas in their tool sets, including training and developing subject matter experts within the supported business areas.
Conducts training that quickly prepares participants to use a maximum of system

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a business function required. Masters degree preferred.
Successful candidate requires the following key competencies: strong quantitative and analytical skills, attention to detail, assertiveness, strong follow-up and facilitation skills, as well as the capability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems quickly.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment, and must work well under deadline pressure.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (proficiency in use of macros, pivot tables and v-look-ups). Prior Microsoft Access and PowerPoint experience is also highly desirable.
Previous experience utilizing a computerized ERP system (SAP and/or Demand Solutions) is preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service skills and strong leadership and team motivation skills in order to manage work that requires effective delivery to internal SJM customers.
