Finance and Fund Accounting Manager recruitment

To support the team in our offices in the heart of Schaffhausen, we are now looking for a
Finance and Fund Accounting Manager
to lead and coach 5 direct reports and contributing to the development of the strategy for the department and to the corporate strategy. Furthermore you are responsible for identifying and fulfilling the clients’ needs and continuously improving the processes and guidelines to ensure service excellence. The main tasks of this position include:
- Managing the Fund Accounting activities and reporting including overseeing the accounting of transactions, submitting subscriptions and redemptions, calculation of fund NAVs, reconciliations and cash forecasting.
- Managing the Finance and Accounting function of the RT Group, ensuring compliance with local legal and tax regulations
- Coaching team members on a continuous basis
- Developing and maintaining processes to ensure timely reporting and quality standards are met in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
- Continuous reviewing of the control environment, implementing controls to mitigate risks and documenting best practices
- Managing relationships with business partners and stakeholders
- Co-operating with other departments to identify areas for business improvement
The ideal candidate should have the following profile:
- A university degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent)
- Significant work experience of 5+ years in Accounting with at least 2 years experience in managing people
- Fluent in English, verbal and written; German an asset
- Good understanding of investments or experience in Fund Accounting and/or Fund Administration
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel)
- Previous experience working within an international environment is a must
