Finance Assistant

My client, a successful Housing Association based in the Trafford Area, are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant within the Management Accounts on a twelve month fixed term contract to cover a maternity leave.

The successful candidate will split her time between management accounts and also ensuring the organisations "value for money" ethos is adhered to. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Finance Officers with preparation of the monthly management accounts with duties including budget and variance analysis, recoding mis allocated funds, balance sheet reconciliations and posting journals, accruals and prepayments. Working to ensure the "value for money" ethos will involve logging and tracking information on a quarterly basis to ensure records are kept up to date and investigating alternative suppliers costs for reporting purposes. 

The successful candidate will ideally have some exposure to assisting with month end reporting, intermediate Excel skills and experience of working with the regulatory requirement of value for money.
