Finance Manager
The Position
Our client is a boutique financial services firm headquartered in London, with offices worldwide. The firm offers accounting and financial advisory services to a select portfolio of institutional clients. Due to continued growth, the firm has a rare opportunity for a Finance Manager to join their headquarters in London. Reporting directly into the Finance Director, the position will cover the following:
- Oversee the production of accurate, timely and useful monthly management accounts
- Ensure the provision of key financial information for group consolidation
- Continue to improve the reporting environment (with particular emphasis on the automation of procedures and controls)
- Manage cash flow forecasting and enhance the projection process
- Manage budgeting and financial planning processes
- Oversee the invoicing procedures, debt collection, control of expenses and payroll
- Improve the internal control environment (including review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations)
- Lead management of the year end close process and liaison with auditors
- Assist in finance projects, working closely with the Finance Director and colleagues across the Group
- Engaging with issues, trends, and changes in the operating model from the perspective of both finance and IT
- Assist in identification and appraisal of new revenue-generating services
Your Profile
- ACCA/ACMA/CA/ACA qualified with a minimum of 2-3 years post qualification experience.
- Strong management accounting experience.
- Looking for the step up in your career to a Finance Manager position.
- Perhaps in a Finance Manager position at present, but looking to change sector, or move to a growing firm in a broader role.
- A strong record of academic achievement, with a numerate degree from a top tier university.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to liaise and deal with senior/board management on a day to day basis. The client will look for evidence of this during the interview process.
