Finance Manager

A highly profitable property and construction development company based in Upminster Essex is seeking a Finance Manager to join their finance function. This is an exciting pivotal role within a highly successful organisation in Essex that will support the growth and development plans of the business and ensure financial control across its projects.

As the Finance Manager your key responsibilities will include managing and motivating a team of 5, delivering the monthly management accounts (with associated commentary as required), year-end accounts, produce monthly forecasts for the property portfolio and live projects, update the forecast model, production of periodical statutory accounts and returns, ideally provide support on land and tax processes including VAT, identify issues and risks, providing business support that will alleviate any potential financial issues.

You must be an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Accountant with a proven track record in the property/ construction or project accounting sector. You must be able to demonstrate their experience of managing complex accounting cycles and working with a team of decision makers and the owners of a business. Knowledge of IFRS, PLC, SPV, advanced Excel and systems highly desirable but not essential.

You must possess first class interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deliver complex finance information to board level and non finance. This is an entrepreneurial and very dynamic environment and requires a commercially astute individual who will want to add value and assist the company through its growth plans.
