Finance Manager – Compliance & Legal recruitment
Job Description
This will be a good opportunity for you to further your finance career at the Group level.
You will primarily support the Compliance Legal Head of Finance and assist to :
1.Manage the global cost base for Compliance and Legal, ensuring the function has a robust financial framework to support accurate financial decision making.
2.Prepare for regular cost performance management and budget reviews.
3.Provide support and advice on a monthly basis for cost management and forecasting to the Compliance and Legal teams
4.Work with the Chennai cost reporting team in delivering efficient and effective cost reporting for the Global Compliance and Legal teams.
5.Manage and track project costs for major Compliance and Legal initiatives
Key Roles Responsibilities
Business performance and Cost Management
* Manage the Compliance and Legal performance management monthly reporting processes, undertaking overall functional cost view and variance analysis
* Prepare reports for the Compliance Legal Teams on monthly cost performance
* Provide guidance and financial support to the Compliance Legal functional teams
* Work with the Regional/Country team members to ensure that their cost management processes are working effectively.
* Challenge and review monthly/quarterly cost forecasts. Work with Compliance Legal Team members to ensure that their forecasting (including risks and opportunities) processes are working effectively.
* Track saves and efficiencies derived through process reviews and reorganisations
* Assist in collating and compiling the Compliance and Legal annual budgets , analysing cost drivers and reasons for change
* Track investment activities including investments in people, systems and other infrastructure
Co-ordinate the reports produced by Chennai Team for Compliance and Legal costs
* Ensure smooth production for monthly reporting
* Continuously modify and improve reports to meet business needs
* Review the monthly reports and understand month-on-month variances and variance to budget and forecasts.
* Escalate and resolve issues working with the responsible Compliance Legal Team members
Cost centre management
* Manage Group Central cost centres for Group Compliance and Group Legal.
* Review monthly reports and investigate unusual items
* Review and confirm accruals (journals raised by Chennai)
* Prepare recharges as necessary
* Maintain financial controls in terms of monthly reconciliation of Balance sheet items
* Prepare budgets and monitor monthly performance against budget
* Prepare monthly forecasts and review with cost centre managers
Headcount tracking
* Review monthly headcount consolidated reports and reconcile with monthly reported headcount for both Compliance and Legal
- Review and analyse Replacement and Investment online trackers
Qualifications Skills
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following:
- Qualified accountant
- Business Analyst with several years' experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Results orientated
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to organize and prioritize
- Ability to create effective work relationships and partnerships
