Role Description
Regional Finance - Finance Manager – Vice President – Group Reporting
Core Responsibilities
• Financial management validation and control for IFRS reporting including but not limited to Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and supplemental disclosures.
• Consolidation review in accordance with IFRS.
• Participation in Special Projects related to accounting changes / implementation of new IFRS pronouncements.
• Point of contact for communication with Internal External Audit.
• Regular interaction with other areas across the organization including: Head Office, Product Finance, Professional Service Centers, Operations, Compliance, and IT.
• Participate in working groups relating to IFRS change and understanding the impact on Americas reporting.
Skills/Requirements
• 8+ years of experience in a financial reporting position in a Global Investment Bank.
• Strong knowledge of consolidation accounting under IFRS (Group reporting) with multi-tiered entity structure with ability to review consolidation issues under US GAAP (Americas regional reporting) as well.
• Thorough understanding of reporting requirements under IFRS including new pronouncements.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships with senior management, business heads, and counterparts in other regions.
• Proven professional with strong leadership skills. The ability to work independently, influence change, and engage across the organization.
Academic / Knowledge Requirements
• B.S. degree or equivalent required.
• CPA or MBA preferred but not required.
• Financial Institution reporting and/or audit experience.
