Finance Manager (India) recruitment
Reporting to the CFO of India Operations, the candidate should be a self starter with strong inter-personal skills, with strategic ability and at the same time drive execution. The candidate should have strong operational finance background. The ability to approach finance from a business point of view will be a definite plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist the CFO to ensure achievement of Company’s financial targets
- Assist the CFO to resolve local and cross-border tax and legal issues
- Provide oversight on the preparation of the statutory accounts for the funds’ investments in India
- Supervise financial due diligence activities during investments or acquisitions
- Supervise execution of financial strategies for Ascendas’ India operations
- Manage country operations’ financial planning/review and financial structuring function
- Maintain local banking relations and manage the local debt capital raising activities
- Maintain sound local treasury operations
- Supervise downstream companies’ financial performance, financial/cost accounting, management reporting and financial management functions
- Maintain effective risk management, and internal control processes and systems
- Ensure compliance with Ascendas Financial Regulations
Prerequisites
- Degree in Accountancy with a good understanding of IFRS
- Minimum 10 years of relevant accounting experience, of which at least 5 years must be in a senior role, preferably in the Head Office of a large group of companies
- Good experience in working with senior management including the Board of Directors
- Experience in managing the accounting function of a real estate company will be an added advantage
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Willingness to relocate to India or any country as part of career development
of consolidated financial statements and management reports
• Liaise with external auditors and professional advisors on related matters
Requirements
• Incumbent must possess ICPAS or a professional qualification
• Minimum 6 years of professional accounting experience
• Hands-on experience in handling full sets of accounts
• A team player with good people-management and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
