At Thompson Creek Window Company, people are what make us grow. Thompson Creek is looking for a results-oriented Finance Manager who is analytical and performs work accurately. This person must have demonstrated an ability to lead others to perform their jobs effectively and responsible for making departmental decisions.
The Finance Manager will manage staff and the consumer finance process through review of finance applications, dispositions by 3rd party lenders, and communication with internal departments to ensure financing issues are resolved and do not hinder customer service delivery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Review all finance hold accounts daily to determine if status is approved or declined.
- Record all authorization information in SAP.
- Monitor finance holds to ensure that average hold time does not exceed 7 days.
- Work with 2nd and 3rd look lenders to obtain competitive dealer fees and alternative finance options for customer. Ensure dealer fees are within company guidelines
- Continuously follow up with Project Coordination to communicate status and changes in status of customer financing and any special instructions or paperwork that are required from the customer.
- Monitor finance expirations and communicate to Project Coordination.
- Evaluate new lending to identify new financing opportunities that may positively impact sales results.
- Monitor trends and create monthly reports to track approvals, declines, use of plans, and percentage of finance sales total sales (with and without rescission).
- Identify opportunities to improve Sales Contract completion and train Sales Representatives on proper procedures for Sales Contract completion.
- Educate Sales Representatives on financing options available for customers.
- In coordination with Senior Managers, review and revise finance plans on a monthly or quarterly basis
SKILLS ABILITIES
- Education Experience: Bachelors’ Degree, at least 1 year of consumer finance experience, and 3 years’ supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with the contractual sales process and familiarity with contracts and contractual language.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Demonstrated abilities to manipulate data using Excel. Prior experience using SAP desired.
