Finance Manager
This challenging role is located at the Nyrstar Port Pirie operation. Positioned on the eastern shore of the Spencer Gulf and just two and a half hours northwest of Adelaide, Port Pirie boasts a lively social atmosphere that is interwoven with its love of sport and the outdoors. Function Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Finance Manager is responsible for managing the Business and Finance functions at the Port Pirie site, including liaising with Corporate Accounting. As the senior finance person on site this ‘hands on’ role is an integral part of the Site Management Team and will have a key role in providing advice to enable site management to appraise financial results and improve profitability. One of the main responsibilities of the Finance Manager is to provide commercial business advice on all matters affecting the site. The Finance Manager provides leadership and direction to the site management team in:
- Linking financial performance to operational performance and ensuring optimum financial results.
- Management and co-ordination of annual plan, plan booklet, IMAS plan, forecasts, strategic modelling and presentations.
- Analysis of plan and forecast profits and cash flow.
- Group management reporting and analysis.
- Ensuring that timely and accurate financial accounting records are maintained for the site.
Profile
- Graduate or post graduate qualifications in Finance, Commerce and/or Accounting.
- Solid experience in financial or management accounting.
- Team leadership experience in the successful delivery of management accounting services.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing/metals environment would be an advantage.
