PURPOSE STATEMENT

To act as a business partner by developing the appropriate Financial/Operational strategy and by providing professional advice, effective and efficient tools in order to add value to the business. Responsible for managing and administrating the organizations’ accounting function which includes budget preparation and maintenance. As a member of the top management in Shanghai, China, with special knowledge in accounting, financial operational management, contribute to the formulation of overall Company operational strategy and be jointly responsible for achieving agreed company objectives.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Finance Manager will manage a team of accounting and finance professionals.The Finance Manager will have responsibility for the following:

1. Timely completion of Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual statutory reporting requirements, including coordination with local accounting firm for audits and tax preparation work, as necessary.
2. Timely completion of Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual management reporting requirements, on US GAAP basis as well as Shanghai, China GAAP.
3. Ensure adequate control environment exists—implement Corporate accounting and control policies and procedures
4. Coordinating and driving Strategic Planning and Annual Planning Processes, including revenue and expense plans, budgets, and capital spending plans, if required.
5. Working with Sales Management to converting monthly sales forecast into a rolling 5 quarter PL for each product lines and working with the Country Manager to ensure that profitability targets are achieved.
6. Preparing Management Report for Top Management which holds information of ACTUAL vs. BUDGET vs. FORECAST for the local operations with professional advice.
7. Preparing monthly variance analyses, including detailed analyses of manufacturing cost variances, and operating expense variances, to ensure the operations are properly leveraging their cost infrastructure.
8. Preparing capital / investment analyses, including sensitivity analysis, to ensure investments made meet Corporate hurdle requirements
9. Converting the Strategic Plan and Annual Plan into a monthly Profitability Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flows Statement
10. Monitors division and department adherence to budget
11. Participating in special projects as required.
12. To develop, improve, and maintain effective, efficient and up to date Tools Systems of operations in order to guarantee the smooth running of the basic personnel activities in Sales, Purchasing, Order processing, assembling, Finance as well.
13. To build and develop effective employee and industrial relations through clear, open and structured communication and involvement mechanisms in order to encourage identification with the company, its mission, goals and objectives (Winning in Our World).
14. To provide the appropriate office environment including all branch offices and manage company vehicles efficiently.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Succeeding in the job requires a relevant University level degree in Finance/Accounting and/or Business administration and over 10 years of experience in all Company Finance Management related issues. Masters degree, CPA or Shanghai, China equivalent certification a plus.
  2. Experience and profound knowledge of both China GAAP US GAAP and IFRS as well.
  3. Strong analytical skills with more than 5-7 years of financial management experience, preferably with a US multinational company.
  4. Proven track record in partnering with a Business Team to drive top-line and bottom-line results. As the scope of the function is wide the ability to organise and prioritise is emphasised. As the Job Holder must work and get along with very different people at all levels negotiation, influencing, communication and presentation skills are necessary.
  5. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and willing to “roll-up” their sleeves as required.
  6. Organized, disciplined work ethic committed to adhering to deadlines
  7. An advanced knowledge of IT is needed to implement, maintain, optimise and develop Corp ERP Systems.
  8. Awareness of all functions and their inter-relation is necessary with strong communication skills
  9. Solid knowledge of Budgeting, Taxation, Cost Accounting, Internal Control such as compliance with SOX, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Purchasing Control Accounting knowledge Tools.
  10. Good at Microsoft Office Software.
  11. Good at English, both written spoken.
