Finance Operations Analyst
Description As the Finance Operations Analyst for Access to Sport, you'll be a critical member of the A2S team with a central mandate to turn every $Nike into $100. Everyone on the team has the same goal: Leverage Leverage Leverage - beyond what will be under your direct control to deliver exponential impact on achieving the new global A2S mission. The unique opportunity of this role is that the new mission of Global A2S is in its early days of development. The overall goal is to harness Nike's vast assets and resources to invest with others to get the world to move again . Too much of modern society has fallen into sedentary, inactive lifestyles and we are only just beginning to grasp the consequences to society of that ongoing trend. The impact on the next generation of kids is disproportionate - their physical and mental wellbeing is compromised from an early age and their opportunity to reach their full potential significantly stifled without dramatic efforts to reverse the normalization of inactivity, and lack of access to play sport. Specifically, you will report to the Business Operations Director and support the financial operations of the Access to Sport organization. You will be responsible for executing the financial close, forecasting and budgeting process of our financial statements and the investment portfolio. You will also be a key partner with the Portfolio team in managing the forecasting and buy process for our product donations process. You will also be asked to prepare various ad hoc analysis and research supporting the A2S mission. Proactively looking for areas to improve efficiency, effectiveness and compliance will be a critical success factor for this role. Additionally, you will be deeply involved in the Investment grant administration process, and facilitating the accounting operations throughout the life cycle of an investment, from set up through the full term of the contract. This will include monitoring, implementation of grant making guidelines to ensure legal compliance and support the assessment of external grant making partners. As necessary, you'll work with the Business Operations Director to manage the creation of additional entities and assess governance, financial operational issues resulting from a growing investment and partnership portfolio. We are a small team, in addition to our A2S teammates our partners in legal, tax, corp accounting, financial operations, global business planning teams will be some of your key allies in getting your job done. The new core start up team will need to be poised to deliver very quickly against a bold and ambitious vision. All players on the team require high levels of intellectual (analytical creative) capacity, proven expertise in diverse internal/ external relationship management, ability to cut through complexity, strong aptitude for innovation, flexibility in experience and competency and consistency in delivering high quality results.
