Finance Project Controller recruitment
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Project Controller with the Finance Strategy, Operations and Technology space in London.
Within Finance Change Management, the Finance General Ledger Strategy Group was formed in April 2011. The Finance GL Strategy group is responsible for gathering Finance GL requirements, partnering with the Subledger Renovation group, and the Data Architecture group, to come up with a Technology Strategy for Finance.
Responsibilities for this role include:
- Preparation of scoping and planning the road map for the Strategic Architecture agenda;
- External vendor analysis, collating functional architecture pricing comparisons, key client information, and working with IT for the IT Technical comparisons;
- Preparation of scoping and planning documents for scenario analysis and other project documentation
- Future State Chart of Accounts roll out; working with functional teams globally, performing analysis on their current state usage, and planning their migration to the future state.
- Preparation of test scripts and training documentation, conduct unit testing and global user-acceptance-testing and rolling out training globally.
To be successful in this role you must have the following skills and experience:
- Worked extensively with and, if possible developed or implemented, MIS applications.
- Knowledge of Trading Subledger, General Ledger and Reference Data/Chart of Accounts.
- Previous experience in General Ledger migration, Subledger Integration
- Detail understanding of front to back booking model for various security types
- Worked in virtual multi regional and multi discipline teams and can demonstrate effective communications skills.
- Working knowledge of project management tools e.g. Microsoft Project, Visio, QC and understand project life cycle
- Good facilitation skills as the candidate will be working across different IT functional groups
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in business analysis with demonstrable experience in project management. He or she will have worked in an operational or project related role in banking, operations or a consulting environment.
