Finance Transformation Manager recruitment
Purpose
Transformation of the Finance functions in the Grains Oilseeds businesses and the Europe Africa region, while ensuring global alignment. The key global Finance transformation projects
include:
implementation of a new general ledger system;
improvement of the month end close process (timeliness and controls);
enhancement of the reporting process - improved management information and an automated solution; and
Implementation of straight through processing where possible of the procure to pay and order to cash processes.
Principal Accountabilities
The primary objective of this role is to ensure that the global Finance transformation program is delivered successfully in the Grains Oilseeds businesses and the Europe Africa region. This is a global initiative, led from Hong Kong with each project managed from one of the key trading hubs (London, Geneva, Stamford and Singapore). The candidate must engage with the global project management team and the Grains Oilseeds Finance learn to understand the accounting and reporting processes and procedures, improve the quality of the accounting, reporting and processing data and implement the changes required by the projects.
The principal accountabilities are below.
Manage all aspects of the global Finance transformation in the Grains Oil seeds and Europe Africa businesses.
Ensure that inter-dependencies, resource conflicts and risks to delivery of the Finance transformation are identified early and managed appropriately.
Create a communication framework and plan for the Finance transformation projects in the Grains Oilseeds and Europe Africa businesses.
Ensure that solutions are pragmatic, easy to implement and cost-effective.
Identify quick wins to ensure engagement and stakeholder support.
Manage change with consideration of required skill -sets, training etc.
Your profile
Experience/Skill Qualifications Required
- Qualified accountant with approximately 10 years post-qualification experience - Finance credibility is important
- Recent experience in a line controller role
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, policies and procedures
- Involvement in a general ledger implementation in a large and credible organization
- Excellent communication skills and in particular English - will need to be able to influence multiple stakeholders and have credibility across the organization, will need to work across a global and diversified organization
- Ability to make sound decisions fast
- Ability to work in a learn arrangement influence without formal authority
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a high paced, high pressured environment where direction is changing frequently
- Good project management experience
