Financial Accountant
A major international Energy business has a job opportunity for a Financial Accountant for 6 months in their Central London office. This position will be working in their high profile Oil Gas division, and will be responsible for reporting specifically on their Upstream Exploration and Production business.

This role will be working with a Group Finance Manager, assisting them with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, advising on controls and preparing the financials for subsidiary entities, assisting with tax advice, co-ordinating audit schedules, and monitoring the work of some junior finance staff. Additionally there will be a requirement to assist with accounting for at least one joint venture. This is a highly profitable part of the business, and as such is very high profile, so this role will be an opportunity to showcase your ability, and make a case for further opportunities. This position is also surrounded by an experienced team, increasing your opportunities to learn and grow.
This role is only available to very high quality candidates, ideally looking for candidates that have worked for an Oil Gas business in a similar role in their career to date, or who have audited an Oil Gas business while in practice. We are looking for qualified accountants (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) who have a familiarity with IFRS, and UK GAAP, who are available immediately or at short notice, and who have used SAP, or Sun accounting systems before.
