Financial Accountant – Global Markets recruitment
Responsibilities include:
1. Performing the GL accounting function including the breakdown of balance sheets and PL's over different business lines. Maintain the reconciliation between the GL and the back-office systems and solve any discrepancies
2. Review and analyse monthly results to ensure accuracy of financial statements, making accruals and adjustments as needed.
3. Performing back-up functions for various positions in the accounting department.
4. Assisting in preparation and analysis of monthly financial and management reports as well as ad-hoc analysis
5. Cooperate in the allocation of indirect expenses
6. Prepare the Monthly financial reporting package for Head Office, including the disclosures and comments and liaise with Head Office on the requirements.
7. Assisting in the internal and external Audit of the Financials of the legal entities/branch
8. Preparing work papers for audit and pre-qualification purposes.
9. Coordinating and/or working on special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager or the CFO.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant or finance degree holder, have experience working within an international bank, ideally within Equity or Fixed Income products, be a self starter and able to communicate with senior management.
