Financial Accountant – insurance industry recruitment
As the Financial Accountant reporting to the Senior Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Management of efficient and effective working teams Financial Controls Procedures with Business and Operation Team
- Prepare and review Financial Reports includes PL and Balance Sheet for variance and accuracy
- Compute intercompany accounting and reconciliations based on company policy
- Maintenance of Financial Controls and procedures
- Prepare management information and reporting
- Prepare budgetary and forecast in timely basis and monitoring the fluctuation in order to provide relevant information to management for decision making
- Regulatory compliance – legal, insurance, MAS, internal and external audit, tax, standards and application legislations
- Reconciliation of revenue includes WIP and deferral income
- Safeguarding of company assets
- Finance projects as relevant
The Successful Applicant
- Degree in Accounting / Finance / Commerce with at least 8 years of working experience
- Member of a professional accounting body eg. ICPAS, ACCA
- Preferably with consultancy / insurance experience
- People management and development
- Effective interpersonal communication skills - instructions and corporate direction
- Ability to deliver and meet deadlines
- Conversant with industry regulatory issues
- Analytical
- Systems oriented
- Ability to see macro picture while also dealing with accuracy and details
