Financial Accountant recruitment

A leading city based insurance broker is looking to hire a Financial Accountant on a 12 month contract basis. The firm has undergone a period of growth over the last year, much of this has been attributed to the calibre of the staff they hire.

The company is undergoing structural change and as a result they require an experienced Senior Accountant to oversea transitional alterations within their finance team. Key Responsibilities include:

-Controlling revenue and expense postings to the General Ledger from accruals and manual journals
-Controlling and posting manual invoices
-Reconciling revenue and expenses to source systems
-Reconciling balance sheet accounts
-Preparing revenue and expense reports for analysis
-Keeping up to date with IFRS and US Reporting Standards

In order to be considered for this role, you will require the following:

-Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or overseas equivalent)
-Insurance/Insurance Broking industry
-Accounting experience in financial control (reconciling revenue and expenses, reconciling balance sheet accounts and preparing accruals)
-US GAAP Reporting experience
