- Focus on 50% Reporting and 50% ad hoc Analysis / Financial Modelling
- CBD Location / $90-100k package
The Company:
Global Financial Services business with a sizable finance team in Sydney and dynamic, outgoing and vibrant culture.
The Role:
This is a highly prized role in their Business Performance and Analysis team with a 50/50 split between core management reporting and ad hoc analysis, commentary and financial modelling.
Responsibilities:
• Management reporting, forecasting and financial analysis focusing on cost, income and revenue drivers, variance analysis and commentary. Team focuses on supporting the business as a whole allowing you to rotate around the various products and business units and support sales/front office teams.
• Involvement in budgeting and forecasting
• Preparing ad hoc reports for the CFO related to sales figures, competitor analysis, market research etc...
• Financial Modelling - develop and improve existing reports and templates
Your Background:
• At least 3 years experience (or equivalent) in a Management Reporting / Financial Analyst role in Banking, Financial Services or at a large blue chip Commerce business
• Qualified Accountant - CA, CPA, CIMA - or nearing completion
• Financial modelling expertise and experience of having built Excel based models to assist decision making
• Proactive approach, solutions driven, always keen to suggest ideas and support how decisions are made across the business
• Excellent communication skills, outgoing personality, good humoured
