The Ulster Bank Credit Risk Analytics team supports the implementation and use of the RBS suite of credit risk models across UB in addition to the development of Macro Economic Stress Testing models for the Ulster Bank portfolio.
In this role you will manage the financial inputs to the Provisioning Impairment tool controls over accuracy of provision calculations on a monthly basis, ensuring key dependents are identified and timelines managed, together with identifying and communicating key trends and issues. You will also maintain procedure notes and other documentation to support the provisioning process, as well as supporting the updating of Provision metrics (LGDs, PDs etc) and methodology and the delivery of process enhancements and reforecasts.
To succeed, you will need to demonstrate:
- Management Information experience
- Advanced software skills e.g. advanced Excel Access (SAS, VBA desirable)
- Credit Risk experience advantageous
- Proven strong analytical skills re. complex information with evidence of good problem solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- IAS 39 knowledge desirable
- Quantitative primary degree advantageous
- Good academic record
- Self starter with good interpersonal skills
- Good computer skills generally and facility to learn new systems/processes quickly
- Management Information experience
- Accounting knowledge/experience is desirable
- Aptitude for logical problem solving and analytical reasoning
