Financial Application Analyst (Peoplesoft) recruitment
The parent company provides life insurance, annuities, automobile and homeowner’s insurance and retail banking services to individuals, as well as group insurance, reinsurance and retirement and savings products and services to corporations and other institutions. Outside of the United States, the affiliated companies have direct insurance operations in Asia Pacific, Latin America and Europe.
For Asia Pacific and Europe, the Shared Service Centre (SSC) is based in Singapore and operates out of the Company. Supporting a total of 9 countries and growing, with companies which were started either through joint-ventures or acquisitions, the SSC provides finance and administrative support to the Asia Pacific and Europe regions.
Due to expansion, the Company is seeking a Peoplesoft Financial Application Analyst for the SSC. Attractive and competitive remuneration and benefits package is available for the right candidate.
Candidate’s Responsibilities:
- Provide Finance production support, disaster recovery testing and training to country users on PeopleSoft.
- Troubleshoot complex business and financial queries and provide appropriate solutions.
- Liaise with IT counterparts in escalating systems support issues and managing the resolution thereof.
Candidate’s Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Accountancy or Business Administration.
- At least 3 years of experience in managing finance IT applications.
- Effective working knowledge of Peoplesoft GL (General Ledger) and/or LMU (Ledger Maintenance Unit) is a must.
- Effectively bilingual in English and Japanese is a must.
- Possess strong technical expertise and understanding of financial processes and related controls.
- Independent, confident and accountable.
- Willing to provide coaching and guidance as needed.
- Effective oral and written communication skills in both English and Japanese.
- Able to travel as required between Singapore and Japan.
