Financial Associate recruitment
Activ Solar is committed to the development of the solar industry. Established in Vienna, Austria, the company owns and manages a portfolio of solar assets with a view to create a world-class integrated solar energy platform.
In line with our expansion plans we are currently recruiting for the position of Associate to be based in San Francisco.
Experience Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience within investment banking/private equity for the Associate
- 2-3 years of experience within investment banking/private equity for the Analyst
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, valuation and accounting in the US
- Strong academic and professional background
- Fluency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word required
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable in dealing with executives at all levels
- Experience and relationships within the US renewable energy sector required, specifically within the investment tax credit and tax equity space.
- Proactive and entrepreneurial approach. Responds quickly and effectively to changing trends and circumstances; embraces change and welcomes fresh perspectives; learns from past mistakes and adjusts accordingly
- Availability to travel as required
Responsibilities:
- Complex financial analysis, debt finance structuring, and analysis or structuring of funding for renewable energy projects in the US with a focus on structuring investment tax credits
- Practical knowledge of financial modelling; scenario and sensitivity analysis and basic statistical techniques such as correlation, regression analysis
- Participating in negotiations and assisting in the preparation of legal documentation for potential deals - understanding deal terms and implications
- Ability to analyse legal documentation and identify problem areas and implications for investment returns
- Writing investment memorandums for the investment committee
- Developing financial models, confirming and verifying assumptions
- Conducting research and presenting findings on topics relevant to company projects, including analyzing sectors, geographic markets, performance and return data
- Supporting management in the due diligence process
- Researching into new investment ideas.
