Financial Control & Accounting Manager recruitment
Huntress Group are currently partnering one of the leading Global law firms based in the heart of the City, in the search for an exceptional Financial Accounting and Control Manager.
Reporting to the head of Financial Control, you will lead the Group Financial Control and Accounting Team, responsible for the day to day management of financial control throughout the firm. The specifics of the role include: Consolidating the group accounts and reporting.
Other responsibilities
- Ensuring that all of the appropriate controls and processes are in place to manage the firm's finances. You will be responsible for ensuring that firm-wide accounting policies are fit for purpose in line with policy, providing day to day oversight of financial control environment of the firm.
- You will proactively consider the needs of all stakeholders, managing key information requirements and demonstrating excellent client relationship skills.
- You will be responsible for the direction, support and development of onshore and offshore resources.
- Team development is important and you will be expected to grow and development your teams capability year on year.
- You will work with our auditors in ensuring that we have an open and supportive relationship.
- Manage the delivery of statutory accounts as applicable for each entity working across the firm and with PWC as applicable.
This position offers significant opportunities for career progression for the successful candidate who demonstrates their ability to operate effectively in this role. Strong candidates in this role will be considered to take on the firm wide Financial Controller role within a 2-3 year time frame.
To be considered for this role, you will be fully qualified with at least 6 years PQE, ideally from a Big 4 Practice, although all fully qualified candidates will be considered. You will have experience of working in a group financial accounting function demonstrating the technical competencies outlined above, show leadership and demonstrated people management experience and skills with an ability to grow and develop others, excellent Written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with an ability to engage with senior stakeholders and build relationships.
